MATERIALITY

Perforated brick on the road facing facades of this residential house maintains the residents' privacy and security whilst also masking a potentially unaesthetically pleasing view of the dual carriageway.

CAFE/GROCERY PRECEDENT

On the ground floor it will be used as the facade to the living room. Whereas on the floor above there is a balcony so the walls will be made from perforated brick to allow maximum natural light into the second floor and balcony space whilst still maintaining privacy from the roads.
